In Memory: Bill Mabry, 61, Enjoyed Gardening, Golf, Working Out

Funeral services for the former Sandy Springs resident will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 20 at First Baptist Church of Sandy Springs.

Herbert William (Bill) Mabry of Marietta, GA, age 61, passed away unexpectedly on Oct. 16, 2015 from complications of a pulmonary embolism.

Bill is survived by his devoted wife of 36 years, Anne Mazo Mabry; daughter, Cynthia A. Mabry of Smyrna, GA, and son, Matthew (Matt) Mabry of Sandy Springs, GA.

Bill is also survived by sisters, Sandra Moltz (Dick) of Roswell, GA, and LuAnn Warrick (Brent) of Marietta, GA; brothers, Bob Mabry (Colleen) of Las Vegas, NV, and Paul Mabry of Atlanta, GA; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was pre-deceased by his parents, Colleen Bailey Mabry and Herbert Hoover Mabry of Sandy Springs, GA and one brother, Philip Mabry.

Bill was born on December 29, 1953 and grew up in Sandy Springs, GA. He graduated from Sandy Springs High School (Class of 1972) and the University of Georgia. After college, Bill worked the next 25 years in various sales positions. Most recently, Bill obtained his real estate license and was working alongside his wife Anne who is also a real estate agent with Berkshire Hathaway in Marietta, GA. In his spare time, Bill enjoyed gardening, working out, and playing golf.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 20 at the First Baptist Church of Sandy Springs. Reverend David Shivers will officiate. Burial will follow at Arlington Cemetery in Sandy Springs. Visitation will be on Monday evening from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Sandy Springs Chapel.
