Missing Alzheimer's Victim Found Safe

Barbara E. Hillman, 82, was found walking along Roswell Road near Red Baron's Sandy Springs Design Center, between 8 and 8:30 a.m., Monday morning.

"She's safe," said Sandy Springs Police Capt. Steve Rose. 

Hillman walked away from the Emeritus Senior Living Center on Hightower Road in north Sandy Springs just after 2 p.m., Sunday. 

The senior citizen suffers from Alzheimer's and had only been staying at the residence temporarily, said Rose. Already unfamiliar with her surroundings, Hillman may believe she is in New Jersey, according to family members. 

Her relatives and friends are not in the Sandy Springs area. 

Hillman no identification, wallet, money, or any other of her belongings on her person, when she went missing.
