More Lane Closures Set For Glenridge Drive In Sandy Springs

Three northbound lanes will be closed nightly Dec. 10-14 for utility-related activities, the Georgia DOT said.

SANDY SPRINGS, GA — If the weather cooperates this week, Georgia Department of Transportation construction partners will close three northbound lanes on Glenridge Drive between Johnson Ferry Road and Interstate 285 for utility-related activities.

Only one southbound lane will remain open when the closures go into effect nightly from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. Monday, Dec. 10 to Friday, Dec. 14.

With this closure, the Georgia DOT has implemented the following detour for motorists who need to access this area: Drivers traveling on Glenridge Drive northbound should turn right on Johnson Ferry Road, left on Peachtree Dunwoody Road then left on Hammond Drive. Motorists on Hammond Drive can turn right on Glenridge Drive or turn left on Glenridge Drive to access I-285 westbound.
