Movies by Moonlight Screens 'The Croods' on Friday

Leadership Sandy Springs' annual Movies by Moonlight starts Friday with a screening of "The Croods."

It's the ninth year that LSS has presented the event. the non-profit will screen three films starting Friday through Sept. 27, on the lawn at the Hitson Activity Center, at Sandy Springs United Methodist Church. The Hitson Center is located at 86 Mount Vernon Highway.


Moviegoers can see "Oz The Great and Powerful" on Sept. 6 and "Wreck it Ralph" on Sept. 27. Admission is Free. Festivities start at 6 p.m. Films start at dusk. 

About 5,000 people turnout for the films annually, according to LSS. 

Folks are encouraged to arrive early and picnic. Food and non-alcoholic beverages are allowed, but snacks and drinks can be purchased onsite. Pets and alcoholic beverages are not allowed.
