Movies By Moonlight Series Returns To City Springs August 9

SANDY SPRINGS, GA — Leadership Sandy Springs is bringing back its free Friday night Movies by Moonlight (MBM) series at City Springs on August 9 with "How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World."

On August 23, it’s "Spider-Man: into the Spider Verse," and on September 6, "Captain Marvel." This is the 15th year LSS has brought their popular outdoor movie series to the Sandy Springs community and the second year movies will be shown on the 35-foot screen on the lawn at City Springs, 1 Galambos Way (corner of Mt. Vernon and Roswell Rd).

Combining the nostalgia of a drive-in movie with the fun of a block party rolled into one, MBM has become a summer family tradition. Like last year, LSS is planning an array of fun, themed, pre-movie festivities with food trucks and activities at 6 p.m., live, on-stage entertainment at 7 p.m. and movies at dusk. Lawn chairs, blankets, and picnics are welcome. Movie goers can enjoy the sights and sounds of the City’s many fountains, and children can cool off in the new children’s splash pad.

Parking is available in the parking garage (first two hours free) and lots in and around City Springs.
