Native Plant Sales Support Tree Atlanta's Reforestation Efforts

The sales support Trees Atlanta's ongoing education efforts around Atlanta while offering plant lovers the chance to buy hard-to-find flora.

SANDY SPRINGS, GA -- Trees Atlanta will be hosting two Native Plant and Vine Sales this year. The first sale will take place at the Freedom Farmers Market at the Carter Center on April 6; the second, in conjunction with the Heritage Sandy Springs Farmers Market, will be held at Sandy Springs City Green on April 20.

Each sale supports Trees Atlanta’s ongoing reforestation and education efforts around Atlanta while offering plant lovers the opportunity to procure otherwise hard-to-find varieties of pollinator-supporting flora. The sales will offer nearly 200 species of flowering perennials and vines, fruiting shrubs and trees, shade-loving ferns, native grasses, and a vast selection of native azaleas.

Experts from Trees Atlanta and the Azalea Chapter of the Rhododendron Society will be assisting shoppers with proper species and site selection and information on planting and follow-up care. For City of Atlanta and Sandy Springs residents who are interested in receiving free front yard trees, ISA Certified Arborists and Trees Atlanta NeighborWoods staff will be offering planting consultations for the upcoming planting season.
