North Springs Charter High School Receives Philanthropy Grant

North Springs Charter High School received the $12,500 grant for software to help students decide which career they want to pursue.

SANDY SPRINGS, GA — North Springs Charter High School recently received the Sandy Springs Society Philanthropy Grant, enabling the school to expand how students identify career and college options with Naviance software.

Naviance is a college and career readiness platform that helps connect academic achievement to post-secondary goals. Its comprehensive college and career planning solutions optimize student success, enhances school counselor productivity, and tracks results for school and district administrators to immediately upgrade to the latest release.

“Naviance enables schools and districts to create personalized success plans for each of their students and aligns to many state mandates for individual learning plan," said Scott Hanson, principal of North Springs Charter High School. "The platform allows students to collaborate with educators to: set personal goals and tasks, search for colleges, and explore careers based on personal skills and interests."

Many customers have already benefited from deploying Sandy Springs Society Philanthropy Grant. SSEF, a non-profit organization, recently committed to deploying Sandy Springs Society Philanthropy Grant to Sandy Springs Middle School. Sandy Springs Society Philanthropy Grant allowed SSEF to support their after-school program.

“SSEF appreciates the incredible work that the Sandy Springs Society does to support our nonprofits in Sandy Springs," the organization said. "We are honored to have received a grant from them which will support our after-school program at Sandy Springs Charter Middle School. These funds will enable us to provide academic assistance and enrichment activities for students two hours per day, five days per week during the school year. In many cases, this program provides a lifeline needed for a student to be successful in school and in life.”
