Registration Opens For Sandy Springs Festival Pet Parade

SANDY SPRINGS, GA — Heritage Sandy Springs has opened registration for the 31st Annual Pet Parade at the Sandy Springs Festival, which will be held Saturday, Sept. 22.

For the third consecutive year, the parade will be presented in partnership with Angels Among Us Pet Rescue. A tradition since 1987, the Pet Parade provides limitless entertainment as animals of all shapes and sizes strut through the festival grounds, sporting creative and crazy costumes. Prizes are awarded in a variety of categories like Most Unusual Pet and Best of Show.

There is one change that will be implemented for 2018. There is now a $10 (tax-deductible) fee to participate in the Pet Parade. Proceeds will equally benefit Heritage Sandy Springs and Angels Among Us Pet Rescue, which are both 501(c)(3) organizations. The 2018 Sandy Springs Festival will again be presented free of charge to the community so there is no admission fee for the festival itself.

Pre-registration is available on the Sandy Springs Festival website. The first 50 online registrants are guaranteed to receive a gift bag with items and coupons worth more than $200. Day-of registration will take place 9-10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 22 at the Festival Main Stage. The parade begins at 10 a.m., with awards and prizes following at 10:45 a.m.

The Sandy Springs Festival is held at Heritage Green at 6075 Sandy Springs Circle and the surrounding area. Festival dates and hours are 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 22 and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 23, 2018.
