Riverwood Charter School Names College Athlete Commitments

Riverwood International Charter School recently celebrated eight spring sports athletes who have committed to play in college.

SANDY SPRINGS, GA — Riverwood International Charter School recently celebrated eight Spring Sports Athletes who have committed to play in college.

Elle Mezzio (Riverwood’s 2021 Valedictorian) has committed to run Cross Country & Track for the University of Miami. Mezzio will receive an academic/merit scholarship and run for the Division I Hurricanes, who compete in the Atlantic Coast Conference.

Jacob Johnson has committed to run Cross Country & Track for Newberry College in Newberry, South Carolina. Johnson will receive an athletic and academic scholarship and run for the Division II Wolves, who compete in the South Atlantic Conference.

Kylie Rincon has committed to play soccer for Wofford College in Spartanburg, South Carolina. Rincon will receive an Athletic Scholarship to play for the Division I Terriers, who compete in the Southern Conference.

Ella Gerstel has committed to play soccer for Reinhardt University in Waleska. Gerstel will receive Athletic and Academic Scholarships to play for the Eagles, who compete in the Appalachian Athletic Conference.

Miles Jackson has committed to play baseball for Hillsborough College in Tampa, Florida. Jackson will receive Athletic and Academic Scholarships to play for the Hawks, who compete in the Suncoast Conference.

Henry Collins has committed to play baseball at Sewanee: University of the South, located in Sewanee, Tennessee. Collins will receive an academic scholarship to attend the school and play for the Tigers, who compete in the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Association.

Drew Holmes has committed to play baseball at Bethel University in St. Paul, Minnesota. Holmes will receive the Royal Merit Academic Scholarship and Bethel Grant to play for the Royals who compete in the MIAC – Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.

Josh Katz has committed to play baseball at Emory University. Katz will be playing for the Eagles, who compete in the University Athletic Conference.
