RockBox Fitness Opening Soon In Sandy Springs

SANDY SPRINGS, GA — RockBox Fitness – the state-of-the-art fitness franchise that combines boxing, kickboxing, and functional training into high-energy group workouts – is set to open its first Georgia location this month.

Located at 4969 Roswell Road in Sandy Springs, the new studio is slated to open in the coming weeks and will be owned and operated by husband-and-wife team Hillary and Mike Williams, who are both Georgia locals. The Williamses are signed on to open two studios in the greater Atlanta area.

“It’s a wholesome fitness concept that pushes every part of the body and focuses on why, what, and how people want to achieve their goals,” Mike said. “It’s awesome to know that our team is professionally certified and trained to provide full support to all of our members – from nutrition and planning to the boot camps, classes and one-on-one sessions, we have the knowledge to create the blue print for our members’ success.”

The Williams’ RockBox journey began when they moved with their three kids to the Charlotte area. Hillary was on the path to leading a more health-minded lifestyle after being diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, and she found exercise was a key component to helping manage her symptoms. After taking one RockBox class, she was hooked and worked her way up from member to trainer to sales manager. When the family decided to move back home to Georgia, Hillary wanted to bring her RockBox family along for the ride.

“After being diagnosed, I was unsure of what would become of my daily life,” Hillary said. “Finding RockBox changed my outlook on the prejudged limits and capabilities of my body; it was the first fitness class that showed me how to enjoy the exercise without the added stress. I want to show people that they are capable of more than they think, and I am living proof.”

Founded in 2017 and franchising since early 2018, RockBox Fitness was built to avoid boredom. The studios feature all the boxing equipment and heavy bags one would expect for a boxing- and kickboxing-based workout, plus an array of functional training tools such as kettle bells, battle ropes and sleds (elliptical and treadmill machines need not apply). In addition, the studios are equipped with high-end sound systems to rock the tunes that keep members pumped and pushing hard. Color-adaptive lighting is also used to cue another level of psychological motivation. When the lights change, so does the intensity.

RockBox’s trainers possess the expertise and the passion that drives the workouts. Each trainer is professionally certified, accredited and has years of experience boxing and kickboxing.
