Sandy Springs is accepting grant applications from eligible non-profit agencies and community organizations that serve city residents. The deadline for applications from arts, education, environment organizations and others interested in the grant program is 5 p.m., Friday, Oct. 4, and must be submitted online.

Sandy Springs has offered a grant annually. An announcement said the city’s non-profit funding program was created to establish a policy for consistent response to requests for financial resources. The amount of this year's grant is $50,000. The application and instructions are available online at http://www.sandyspringsga.gov/ServingSandySprings.

A training session will be held at 1 p.m., Sept. 24, in the City Hall Training Room adjacent to City Council Chambers, located at 7840 Roswell Road, Building 500. Interested applicants are encouraged to attend as the session is geared towards helping non-profit organizations prepare the most competitive application possible.

Questions regarding the program may be emailed to Eden Freeman, Assistant City Manager at efreeman@sandyspringsga.gov.
