Sandy Springs Playhouse Wins Three Awards Celebrating Community and Regional Theater
Act3 Productions was nominated in 11 categories at the inaugural International Music and Entertainment Awards, in Kentucky, the highest number of nominations for any theater company.

Act3 Productions received three awards at the inaugural International Music and Entertainment Awards, on Saturday, at the Paramount Arts Center in Ashland, Kentucky.Â
The awards honor the best in independent music and community/regional theater.
Act3 was nominated in 11 categories, the highest number of nominations for any theater company, for its recent production of, "Hair."Â Â The winners were:Â Patti Mactas for best director of a musical, Elliott Brabant for best featured actor in a musical, and Tim Roberts for best lighting design in a musical.Â
Other nominees from the production included: Belle Adams (featured actress), Theresa Dean (set design), Tara Folio (leading actress), Justin Kasian (leading actor), Johnna Mitchell (choreography), Daniel Pope (sound design), and Alex Sherwin (leading actor). The show was also nominated for Best Musical.
