Sandy Springs Police Officers and Employee of the Year to be Honored

The 2013 Sandy Springs Police Officers and Employee of the Year were announced, Wednesday. The award is sponsored by the Rotary Club of Sandy Springs.

The Officer of the Year is Detective Jeff Inman. Detective Inman is assigned to the CSI Unit of the department. He joined Sandy Springs Police in 2006 following his career with Fulton County Police. 

Inman is an accomplished crime scene investigator and has been credited with a number of successful investigations including the identification of latent prints tying suspects to a two-million dollar methamphetamine seizure.

Detective Inman is also an accomplished photographer, having contributed to several department and city photo projects. He is a member of the teaching staff of the Sandy Springs Police Citizen's Police Academy and a frequent guest speaker at local schools, civic organizations, and colleges where he speaks on the topic of forensic investigations.

The Police Supervisor of the Year is Sergeant Ron Momon.  He is assigned to the Criminal Investigation Division of the SSPD. He joined Sandy Springs Police in 2006 following his career with the Marta Police. 

Sergeant Momon is also a member of the Georgia Air National Guard where he holds the rank of Staff Sergeant. Prior to his appointment to the Criminal Investigation Division, Sergeant Momon was assigned to the North District and Hostage Negotiation Team.

The Sandy Springs Police Employee of the Year is Erica Adams. She joined Sandy Springs Police in 2007 following her career with DeKalb County Police.
Adams is assigned to the police reports unit. She was nominated in part for her work ethic as well as her dependability in getting the job done. 

Adams is exceptional when dealing with multi-tasking with filing jail dockets, cash receipts system, RMS and criminal history requests. She is considered by her supervisory staff as an "exemplary resource and true asset to the department."

The three will be honored at a Sandy Springs Rotary Club Luncheon in October.
