Sandy Springs Seeks Watercraft Storage Applications

Sandy Springs, GA -- The Sandy Springs Recreation and Parks Department is now accepting applications for 28 watercraft storage slots at Morgan Falls Overlook Park.

Storage slots are available for watercraft with measurements of up to 16’ for canoes and kayaks and up to 14’ for paddleboards.

This service will be provided by High Country Outfitters, Inc. under contract with the city of Sandy Springs.

Applications for permits to store a watercraft at Morgan Falls Overlook Park are being accepted through Feb. 26.

Any Sandy Springs resident who would like to store a canoe, kayak or paddleboard on racks at Morgan Falls Overlook Park Paddle Shack should submit an application by Feb. 26.

Permits will be awarded by lottery on March 7, which will be held at 9 a.m. at High Country Outfitters. The company’s address is 3906 Roswell Road, Atlanta, Ga. 30342.

Winners will be notified and will have until March 21, 2016 to pre-pay for the April 1, 2016-March 31, 2017, watercraft storage permit, which will cost $600.
