Sandy Springs Sets New Planning Commission Schedule

Sandy Springs moved meetings from the fourth Tuesday to the Wednesday following the City Council's second meeting of the month.

SANDY SPRINGS, GA — The Sandy Springs Planning Commission is changing its meeting schedule in 2020, moving from the fourth Tuesday of each month to the Wednesday following the City Council’s second meeting of the month.

By holding the Planning Commission the day following a City Council meeting, set-up needs are reduced in the Studio Theatre, where the meetings are held, freeing up the room for other programming opportunities the following two weeks. The change allows for a greater variety of events and performances to be booked in the Studio Theatre.

The new schedule takes effect in January 2020, with the Planning Commission meeting scheduled for Jan. 22. Civic meetings are posted on the City’s calendar at www.sandyspringsga.gov under the Government tab.
