A total of five athletes at Holy Innocents' signed letters of intent Feb. 1. They were Mollie Belisle (soccer; University of Georgia), Bennett King (lacrosse, Berry College), Lexi Knox (soccer, University of Tennessee), Eli Best (soccer, Hamilton College) and Alfredo Granier (baseball, Birmingham Southern)

Eli Best was All-Region last year in soccer, is one of our leading scorers and is a three year starter, said Holy Innocents' Dunn Neugebauer. Alfredo Granier is a two-sport star: he was an All-Region punter in football and a starting pitcher and infielder in baseball. He's also a "solid hitter," Neugebauer told Patch.

Mollie Belisle is the all-time leading soccer scorer in HIES history, Neugebauer added. She has 86 going into her senior year and scored three Friday in a scrimmage at Mt. Paran. Bennett King is a two-year starter in lacrosse and is one of the best in the area in the face-off X. Lexie Knox was one of our leading scorers in soccer her first two years until she was switched to defense the last two.

"Anywhere on the field, she is a force," Neugebauer said.
