Sandy Springs Tennis Center Offers Free Events For Community
The week-long program of events will be held May 8-13, and is designed to introduce new players to the sport.

SANDY SPRINGS, GA -- As part of its initiative to introduce the sport of tennis to new players, the Sandy Springs Tennis Center will offer a week-long lineup of events at no cost to the public.
These complimentary activities for children and adults alike will be held May 8-13. The week will feature a variety of activities including tennis instruction, hitting for prizes, drawings and refreshments.
In addition, the Tennis Center hopes to draw focus on full-body movement to promote a healthy lifestyle. According to a 2016 study published in the British Journal of Sports Medicine by an international team of researchers, racquet sports, particularly tennis, are linked to significant decreases in risk of death from both heart disease and other causes. Tennis also allows children and adults the opportunity to work on life skills such as discipline, focus, persistence and confidence while developing an active, healthy lifestyle.
