Sandy Springs Triple Shooting Leaves Two Dead, One Hospitalized

Suspects are still at large after the Thursday morning shooting at the Eva Apartments, but police say those involved knew each other.

SANDY SPRINGS, GA —Two men were killed, another is hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries, after an early Thursday morning shooting at the Eva Apartments in Sandy Springs, according to multiple sources.

As of Friday, the Sandy Springs Police Department had not released the names of the victims nor a motive for the crime. According to Fox 5 Atlanta, police said that after reviewing surveillance video they were searching for two to three young adults seen leaving the apartment complex shortly after the shooting.

The police have stressed that they do not believe the shooting was random.

"All those involved knew each other. No one is in danger," Sandy Springs Police Sgt. Salvador Ortega told 11Alive.com.

According to reports, police were called to the scene at 789 Hammond Dr. around 2 a.m. after residents reported hearing gunshots. Three people were found shot inside the apartment, two were dead and the third was rushed to a hospital with a reported gunshot wound to the leg.
