On November 15, 2013, a teacher reported to Riverwood leadership that a student in her class appeared to be under the influence.

The student was brought to the administrator’s office and, when searched, was found in possession of a fake identification.  The administrator contacted one of Riverwood’s campus officers and, as is usually done, the student’s car was searched.  In the student’s car was a small amount of marijuana and a knife with a 3.25 inch serrated blade.

This student will be disciplined according to Fulton School Board policy and will also be turned over to the District’s police department and charged under applicable Georgia statues. I wanted our community to hear about this incident from me first.

Please do not hesitate to contact me if you need additional information.

Thanks
