Sparkle Sandy Springs Set For Dec. 2 (ICYMI)

This second-annual display of lights and decorated miniature houses will be held at City Springs.

SANDY SPRINGS, GA — A month-long display of lights and decorated miniature houses will kick off next month in Sandy Springs. City Springs will host the second annual Sparkle Sandy Springs, a celebration of the holiday season that will feature live music, a visit by the Coca-Cola Polar Bear, and a tree and menorah lighting.

Sparkle Sandy Springs features a wonderland of festively decorated six-feet-tall wooden houses, painted by local businesses, schools and nonprofit organizations. The free kickoff event begins at 5 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 2, with music provided by School of Rock Atlanta. The event was originally scheduled for Dec. 1, but the city changed the date due to the threat of rain.

"We invite everyone to join us on the City Green to officially welcome our inaugural holiday season at City Springs," Mayor Rusty Paul said. "Sparkle Sandy Springs is a light and art display the entire family will enjoy, and provides the perfect backdrop for your family’s holiday photo."
