The 411 on Qualifying for November Municipal Elections
Qualifying for the Mayor and City Council races is Monday through Friday

Qualifying starts today for the upcoming city of Sandy Springs municipal elections. The November ballot will include all six city council seats and the Mayor’s position.Â
Candidates may download the application for qualifying from the City’s website atwww.sandyspringsga.gov/vote, or pick up an application at Sandy Springs City Hall located at 7840 Roswell Road, Building 500, between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. The completed application and the qualifying fee must be submitted in person by 4 p.m., Friday, to the City Clerk’s Office located at Sandy Springs City Hall. The qualifying fee for mayor is $750; it is $360 for the position of council member.

Eligible candidates are required to be a resident of Sandy Springs for the last 12 consecutive months. Those running for a council seat must reside in that council district for at least the past six consecutive months.Â
