Traffic Alert: Part of Johnson Ferry Road Closed for Through Afternoon Commute

From the City of Sandy Springs 

One lane of Johnson Ferry Road, west of Riverside Drive heading into Cobb County, is closed and will remain closed during this evening's afternoon commute. 

The lane is closed as Georgia Power replaces a power pole dislodged as a result of an vehicular accident at the intersection of Johnson Ferry Road and Riverside Drive earlier today.

In addition, Georgia Power will shut down power to the traffic signal at Riverside Drive and Johnson Ferry Road as they replace the damaged power pole. The Sandy Springs Police Department will conduct traffic control at the intersection. Motorists should expect delays.
