Monday Essentials: National Night Out and Networking Events, This Week
See what's happening in the week ahead in Sandy Springs.

- National Night Out. Sandy Springs Police and Fire Rescue host the annual event at 6 p.m., Tuesday, at Hammond Park. The event brings heightened awareness of crime and involves over 37 million people and 15,000 communities from all fifty states, U.S. Territories, Canadian cities, and military bases worldwide.
- Networking on Tuned-up Tuesdays. Local businesses open their doors for these Sandy Springs/Perimeter sponsored events, which feature cuisine and beverages, fun activities, door prize drawings, tours of member businesses, and of course - lots of networking. 5:30 p.m., Tuesday, at Uncle Julio’s, 1140 Hammond Drive.
- Trivia Night at Meehan's. Test your knowledge at the Sandy Springs pub at 7:30 p.m., Tuesday. City Walk shopping center, 227 Sandy Springs Place.
- Toastmasters Weekly Meeting. Northwest Perimeter Toastmasters meets at noon, Wednesdays, at One Concourse Parkway, Suite 140. Attendees network personally and professionally while developing communication and leadership skills. - Tommy Blaze at The Punchline. The stand-up comic performs at the Sandy Springs comedy club, Thursday-Saturday. Visit the website for showtimes and prices.
- Student fundraiser. A Charity Benevolent Fund event will be held from noon-9 p.m., Thursday at Panda Express, 5620 Roswell Road to help students in need in Metro Atlanta.
