Win-Win: BMW Raffle Raises $157K for Ronald McDonald House and Local Woman Gets Shopping Spree

Peggy Taylor of Sandy Spring did not get the big prize in the BMW Raffle benefitting Atlanta Ronald McDonald House Charities but she did win a $2,500 shopping spree at H. Stockton.

Five local dealers came together to donate a BMW Z4 roadster valued at more than $50,000. The annual raffle raised $157,000 for the Ronald McDonald Houses in Sandy Springs and Atlanta, an announcement said.

Wayne Johnson of Roswell won the grand prize. Third place winner, Vickie Kirbo, of Atlanta received jewelry from Mayors Jewelers at Phipps Plaza.

“There is no time more difficult in a family’s life than when a child is sick or injured. BMW is proud to join ARMHC and help these families find comfort and hope during their time of need,” said Wayne Schulte, Field Marketing Manager for BMW of North America, Southern Region.

The participating dealers were the Atlanta BMW dealers, United BMW of Roswell, United BMW of Gwinnett Place, Global Imports BMW, Nalley BMW of Decatur and BMW of South Atlanta. 

Atlanta Ronald McDonald House Charities is a non-profit that provides temporary housing and support services to families of critically ill and injured children being treated at local hospitals. 

Since the annual car raffle began 15 years ago, more than $1.9 million has been raised to support the children and families at the Atlanta Ronald McDonald Houses, according to the charity.
