Armed Robber Last Seen Wearing Plastic Bag: Police

Cobb County police are searching for the man who robbed the Smyrna-area store on Thanksgiving.

Cobb County police are asking for the public’s help to identify the man who robbed a Smyrna-area package store at gunpoint on Thanksgiving.

Officers were dispatched to the Royal Package Store at 1860 Atlanta road at approximately 9 p.m. in reference to an armed robbery in progress, spokesman Dana Pierce said. When they arrived, an employee told them she was forced to open the safe at gunpoint. She told officers that the man grabbed cash from the safe then fled the business on foot.

Police descripe the suspect as a black male, 6’00” tall, with a medium complexion. He was dressed in a black t-shirt, blue jeans and “Puma” sneakers. He was last seen wearing a blue plastic bag over his face, and he was armed with a handgun.
