Watch Movies Outdoors This Weekend In Cobb County

COBB COUNTY, GA — Pack your car with your favorite snacks and drinks, grab a lawn chair or a blanket and head out this Friday and Saturday to see the free outdoor screenings of "How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World" and "The Sandlot" in Cobb County.

Cobb County Parks and Recreation is hosting the outdoor movie experiences, starting with a screening of "How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World" at Mable House Barnes Amphitheatre in Mableton on Friday. Gates open at 7 p.m., and the movie will start around dusk.

The county is also screening "The Sandlot" as part of the Kaiser Permanente Movie Series, which will be aired Saturday at Big Shanty Park in Kennesaw. The park opens at 8 p.m., and the movie will start around dusk.

Registration is required for both screenings. You can register online on the Cobb County parks website here. Click on "Register and Reserve," then "Special Events" and navigate to the "Special Event - Parks" section for the screenings.

Mable House Barnes Amphitheatre is located at 5239 Floyd Road in Mableton. Big Shanty Park is located at 2050 Kennesaw Due West Road NW in Kennesaw.
