In Loving Memory of William Stanley Dunbar, 55

William Stanley Dunbar went home to be with the Lord July 30, 2015 from complications of a long illness. He is the son of William N. (Bill) Dunbar and Carol Dunbar of Smyrna and is survived by sister Dr. Karen Dunbar of Montrose, CO, Teresa Landers (Dr. Bill Landers) of Rome, GA and Philip Dunbar (Barbara) of Kennesaw and nieces and nephews; Kristina Dunbar, Jonathan Landers, Jeremy Landers (Haley), Erika Dunbar and Bryce Dunbar, many aunts and uncles, cousins and friends. He graduated from F.T. Wills High School in 1977. He played football, baseball, ran track and loved riding motorcycles. He was a skilled auto mechanic, handyman and later in life enjoyed helping a professional artisan in making acclaimed double bass instruments. He will be sorely missed by his friends and family. Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 PM Sunday, August 2, 2015 at Carmichael Funeral Home in Smyrna. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Monday, August 3, 2015 at Carmichael Funeral Home Chapel in Smyrna with Dr. Bill Landers and Rev. Phil Miller officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Harmony Memorial Gardens in Mableton. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Hospice Atlanta at Emory Healthcare, 1364 Clifton Rd., Unit 5G, Atlanta, GA 30322 or a charity of your choice.
