Man Shot In Arm At Smyrna Gas Station

A man was taken to the hospital after a shooting Wednesday morning in Smyrna.

SMYRNA, GA -- Police in Smyrna are investigating after a man was shot Wednesday morning at a gas station, Patch has learned. The shooting took place around 8 a.m. in Smyrna at the Quik Trip in the 4400 block of South Cobb Drive.

The incident began when a man outside his vehicle pumping fuel was approached by another man, leading to an argument. Authorities have not released information on what caused the incident to escalate.

Smyrna police spokesman Louis Defense told WXIA that the victim, who was standing near the pumps, was shot in the arm. The name of the victim has not been released at this time.

The victim was rushed to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries, WGCL reports.
