Man Walking In Residents' Backyards Arrested In Vinings: Police
A "suspicious person" call to authorities in Vinings leads to the arrest of a man wanted by Atlanta police.

VININGS, GA -- Police officers in Cobb County arrested a man after he was allegedly seen walking through several backyards in homes off Woodland Brook in Vinings, authorities said. The suspect was found to be wanted by the Atlanta Police Department on multiple charges, including rape, law enforcement in Cobb said.

A Cobb detective who was off-duty but moonlighting for the Vinings Homeowners Association responded to the call along with officers from the department's 3rd Precinct, authorities said.

Cobb officers charged the man, who has not been identified, with obstruction and loitering and prowling, Cobb police said.
The Atlanta charges that the suspect faces include two counts of statutory rape, a felon in possession of a firearm, aggravated assault, and obstruction of a law enforcement officer.
