Now Open At SunTrust Park: Wahlburgers Restaurant

SMRYNA, GA -- SunTrust Park has a new burger joint backed by one of Hollywood's biggest stars. Wahlburgers opened its doors this week in The Battery at SunTrust Park, Patch has learned.

The eatery is chef Paul Wahlberg's creation along with his brothers, actor Donnie and movie star Mark Wahlberg. The eatery itself is no stranger to the small screen: Wahlburgers was featured in an A&E reality TV show for a while. The opening in Cobb County follows the Boston-based company's plans to expand across the country. In addition to Georgia, the Wahberg burger chain is opening restaurants in six other states, including California, Massachusetts, Michigan, Ohio, North and South Carolina, according to Business Insider.

The expansion will add 23 restaurants to the company's portfolio, the website reports.

On Monday, the eatery posted on Facebook, "We're open," to the delight of its fans.

SunTrust Park has become the foodie spot du jour as several prominent eateries have made Cobb's newest entertainment district its home. Other eateries on the site include Yard House, Big Chow Grill, Terrapin Taproom, Todd English Tavern and more.
