Police, Marines Plan Joint Training Exercise

The training will revolve around the Corps' reserve center in Smyrna. Traffic delays may ensue due to the training.

On December 2, 2015 from 8:00AM to 5:00PM, the Smyrna Police Department will be conducting a training exercise with members of the United States Marine Corps reserve center located in Smyrna, GA.

The above activity is a joint venture in readiness preparation for an emergency situation that may arise around or within the United States Marine Corps reserve center. The Smyrna Police Department does not want it citizens to be alarmed as the aforementioned exercises are “training exercises” only.

There may be some traffic delays around the reserve center and citizens are asked to avoid the area if possible.
