Smyrna Man Arrested In Connection With Fatal Shooting: Police
Carl. A Crawford is in custody but has not been charged after a 27-year-old Atlanta woman was found shot to death in a Smyrna apartment.
SMYRNA, GA — A 30-year-old Smyrna man has been arrested in connection with the fatal shooting of an Atlanta woman that took place early Wednesday morning at the Alder Park Apartments, police said.
Police were called to the apartment complex at 39 Cumberland Crossing after receiving calls about shots being fired just before 1 a.m. According to a news release, Carl A. Crawford told officers that there had been a shooting in his apartment. Police went inside the residence where they found Juanita McFadden, 27, Atlanta, who was dead from gunshot wounds, police said.
Crawford was arrested and police said Wednesday that charges are still pending and that there are no further details about the incident are available at this time.
