This Week in Smyrna-Vinings: Parks & Rec Master Plan Meeting, SBA Luncheon, Free Safety Class

The City of Smyrna will hold a public meeting to review the findings and recommendations of the Parks & Recreation Master Plan. The meeting will take place at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 31 in the Smyrna Community Center at 200 Village Green Circle. For information, please contact Parks & Recreation at 770-431-2842.
On Tuesday, July 30, a free safety class will be held for seniors ages 55 and older. The free Senior Safety Awareness class will be held from 10 a.m. to noon at the Cobb Safety Village located at 1220 Al Bishop Drive, Marietta. Registration is required by calling 770-852-3270.
The Smyrna Business Association will hold its monthly luncheon from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 1 at the Smyrna Community Center located at 200 Village Green Circle. Guest speaker will be Mike Beatty, who has served as the Commissioner of Gerogia Department of Community Affairs for 10 years. Cost is $15 for SBA members, and $20 for non-members.
