What's Open, Closed in Smyrna on New Year's Day
Several city offices are taking the first day of the new year off, meaning your trash pickup schedule could change.

SMYRNA, GA -- Smyrna city offices and other city services like police records and trash pickup will be unavailable on New Year’s Day in observance of the holiday.
City offices close at noon Thursday, and police records and permits offices are getting the day off as well. The Smyrna Library will open from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Thursday and remain closed Friday. All offices will re-open on Jan. 3.
The Smyrna Community Center has been closed since Dec. 23 for annual maintenance and will re-open on Jan. 2.

The city’s sanitation scheduled has been altered as follows:
Monday and Tuesday routes unchanged
Thursday routes picked up on Wednesday
Friday routes picked up on Thursday

There will be no yard debris and large items picked up this week.
