COBB COUNTY, GA — Cobb police are investigating a fatal traffic collision at Six Flags over Georgia that took the life of a 2-year-old boy.
Cobb County Police Department officers were called to Six Flags at 4:18 p.m. Saturday, according to a Monday news release. Investigators said 51-year-old Teki Russell brought four child relatives — ages 10, 6, 3 and 2 years old — to the theme park, and upon getting in the car to leave, Russell believed all four children were buckled and safe in the car.
However, the 2-year-old was not in the vehicle, police said. As Russell left the parking space, she hit the child with her car, causing serious injury. He was transported to Children's Healthcare of Atlanta - Scottish Rite Hospital, where he died of his injuries.
