3 Charged In Cobb Murder At Mableton Townhome

Cobb County police arrested three Cobb residents last week in connection with a November 2020 murder at a Mableton townhome.

COBB COUNTY, GA — Cobb County police arrested and charged three Cobb residents last week after a fatal shooting at a Mableton townhome in November 2020.

Tyler Tywann Thomas, a 21-year-old from Mableton, was arrested and charged last Monday with murder and aggravated assault. Police records show Tyanna Buford, 19, and Kalvon Rahiem Hinnant, 20, both from Marietta, were arrested the following day and also charged with murder and aggravated assault.

Arrest warrants indicate all three suspects are accused in a Nov. 8 shooting at Upland Townhomes in Mableton, which ended in the death of 32-year-old Keith Dewitt. Dewitt died after being shot multiple times, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported.

Cobb police said Thomas and Hinnant were the ones who shot Dewitt, while police said Buford led Dewitt to the apartment where the shooting occurred, according to the Marietta Daily Journal. Police records show Hinnant faces an additional charge of violating probation.

As of Monday morning, all three suspects were held in Cobb County Jail without bond.
