Armed Thieves Rob Knights Inn In Austell: Police
Armed robbers took cash and personal items from an employee at Knights Inn in Austell early Thursday, police say.
SOUTH COBB, GA -- Police in Cobb County are investigating an armed robbery, which occurred early Thursday at a motel in Austell. About a quarter after midnight, Cobb officers responded to a robbery call at the Knights Inn in the 1500 block of Blair Bridge Road, authorities said.
Upon arrival, officers were told by a male employee that two thieves, one of whom with a gun, forced their way into the lobby, according to Cobb police spokesman Sgt. Dana Pierce. The victim was not injured, but the perpetrators got away with cash and other personal items before fleeing, Pierce said.

The robbers are described as black males, both about 5’09” in height with a light complexions and slim builds. One had on a tan hooded sweatshirt while the other sported a black hooded sweatshirt, police said.
The Cobb Police Department is asking anyone with information about it is asked to call (770) 499-3945. Tipsters can also remain anonymous and possibly receive a reward of up to $2,000 by contacting greater Atlanta Crime Stoppers at 404-577- TIPS (8477).
