Austell Woman Wanted in Knife Attack

The cut caused the man to have limited mobility in his left arm.

A warrant has been issued for the arrest of an Austell woman who allegedly cut a man with a kitchen steak knife.

Monica Lashun Bowden allegedly cut the man from the left shoulder down to about one inch above his left nipple about 5:47 p.m. Saturday at an apartment in the 300 block of Westwood Parkway, according to the warrant.

"The cut was significantly deep enough to show the fatty layers underneath the skin, requiring sutures," according to the warrant. "The laceration was approximately six to eight inches in length and caused (the man) to have limited mobility in his left arm due to the pain."

Bowden faces a charge of aggravated assault with a weapon.
