Barking Out the Votes for Shelia Edwards for District 4 Commish

Hello Cool Canine Owners, Owners of other Family Pets, and Non Pet Owners in District 4. it is me again, your Dog Friend, Einstein.

I want to thank you and all the Pet Parents (and non-Pet Parents) who voted for my Mom, Shelia Edwards, for Cobb County Commissioner for District 4 in the June Primary. Its time to Do It Again. Please return to the polls to vote for her in the Runoff Election on Tuesday, August 11th.

My Mom Shelia is a great pet parent and she will be an even better Commissioner, so I am doing my part to Bark Out the Votes for Shelia. I urge you to make plans now to go back to your polling location on Tuesday and vote for positive changes to our community, vote for Shelia Edwards.

My mom Shelia will continue the work and advocacy she has been doing for years in the community, but this time as our next Commissioner. I promise you that she will bring the positive changes our community needs. She will address the deserts that plague parts of our community including food deserts, medical facility deserts, and banking deserts. She has proven through her work in our community that she loves District 4 and wants the best for us. My Mom Shelia has also advocated in the community and spoken before the Board of Commissioners on a number of issues including the failure to develop Magnolia Crossing, 50 acres of prime real estate in our backyards that have been ignored and gone undeveloped for five years. Smart development of this property will bring about great jobs, affordable housing, and positive economic development for our community. My Mom Shelia is championing this issue for us. Earlier this year, my Mom Shelia went before the Board of Commissioners and advocated for the first African America woman to be named the next County Manager for Cobb. She also insisted that she receive the same equitable pay for her work. The Board listened to my Mom Shelia and voted to appoint Dr. Jackie McMorris as Cobb County Manager with a great salary to match. My Mom Shelia was proud to be part of this historic appointment because she believes in building up people and our community, which is what we should demand from everyone who we elect.

These are just a few of the many examples of the work that my Mom Shelia has been doing to improve the quality of life for the people of District 4. She believes that we can make positive changes with real leadership in place, which is why she is running. I overheard my Mom Shelia talking with Ambassador Andy Young today, who has endorsed her candidacy for Commissioner. Andy told her that change only comes about when people step forward to make it happen. I like Andy, he is one smart man. Let's step forward District 4.
