Decomposed Body Found In Cobb Identified As Missing Woman
Cobb police say they have identified a body found outside a Cobb home last week as that of 38-year-old Melissa Fisher.

ACWORTH, GA – A badly decomposed body found in the backyard of a home in Cobb County has been identified as that of a woman who vanished days ago, according to news reports. The body was found in the 4500 block of Baker Grove Road.

Authorities in Acworth investigated the two case after Fisher was reported missing by a co-worker, according to local media.

The body was found in the home’s backyard by someone who did not live there, the newspaper reports.
"Given the condition of the body, it had been out in the elements for some time," Acworth Police Capt. Mark Cheatham told WSB-TV. "There was no obvious signs of foul play or trauma to the body."
