Attention District 4 Voters
Provisional Ballots and Absentee Ballots Cure
Deadline is Friday, August 14, 2020
Mableton, GA – Thank you to the District 4 voters who participated in the August 11, Runoff Election that was held yesterday.
I have been informed by the Cobb County Board of Elections that it has hundreds of votes to count before the election for Cobb County Commissioner for District 4 can be certified. These uncounted votes fall into two categories, Deficient Provisional Ballots and Absentee Ballots that need signature (i.e. signature needs to be verified) or information cures (i.e. information needs to be provided or verified). I am told that action is required by the voter for these votes to be counted.
The Cobb Board of Elections informed me that it has sent letters to all voters that fall into these categories. If you have received this letter from the Board of Elections, please respond immediately to their office by close of business on Friday, August 14, 2020. If you have questions or concerns about this process or how your vote was handled on Tuesday, please contact Attorney Terry Cummings, who can assist you with getting the matter cured and your vote counted at: terrycummings360@gmail.com
The position of my campaign is that the election process is not over until every vote is counted. We are relying on the Cobb Board of Elections to ensure that this occurs and that all voters are contacted in a timely manner and given an appropriate amount of time to respond.
