GreyStone Recognizes Service Milestones, Employee Achievements
Wayne Glover of Mableton was one of 11 employees to receive the Gatekeeper Award at GreyStone's Service Awards.

GreyStone Power’s 46th annual Service Awards recently celebrated 50 people, including employees and Board Directors, who reached service milestones. Those being recognized for milestones this year had three, five, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 40 or 45 years of service. Eight recent retirees were also honored for their many years of service.
Board Director Burnell Redding, a Villa Rica resident, celebrated the longest service record this year, with 45 years of service. Redding serves District 4 in Carroll and Douglas counties. Construction and Maintenance Supervisor Don Fischel of Douglasville celebrated the longest service record for employees, with 40 years of service.
GreyStone President/CEO Gary Miller presented the special awards, which included the Gatekeeper Awards and Life Saving Awards. The Gatekeeper Award is given to those employees who recognized emergency or other situations and were quick to respond or lend assistance. The Life Saving Award goes to emÂployees who quickly respond to situations where members of the public are in danger or when an individual life is at stake.

This year 11 GreyStone employees received the Gatekeeper Award, inÂcluding Keith Bailey of Powder Springs, Robert Fite of Lithia Springs, Chris Foust of Dallas, Donnie Gary of Dallas, Linda Gladden of Powder Springs, Wayne Glover of Mableton, Vicki Harshbarger of Lithia Springs, Blake Johnson of Bremen, Patrick LeCroy of Dallas, Nancy Mathison of Cartersville and Todd Voyles of Dallas.
Along with the Gatekeeper Award, Foust also took home a Life Saving Award for rescuing a woman from drowning. Leroy Perryman of Austell received a Life Saving Award for saving an infant’s life after the child had been left in a hot car. Both Foust and Perryman were also recognized by Georgia EMC, the statewide trade association for Georgia’s electric cooperatives, with a Life Saving Award. The Georgia EMC Life Saving Awards were given to 11 employees from six EMCs at the state association annual meeting in Savannah.
