In Loving Memory of Florence Tarpley Cox, 96

Mrs. Florence Tarpley Cox, age 96, passed away Sunday February 8, 2015. Mrs. Cox was born in Carroll County June 9, 1918, in the area which is now Bowden, GA to James and Jackie Tarpley. She later moved to Austell, GA, where she had been a member of St. Luke United Methodist Church since 1961.

Preceded in death by her husband Benjamin Hill Cox, she is survived by her daughters: Gayle Laughridge of Clarkdale, GA, Susan and her husband Alan Smith of Mableton, GA, Teresa and her husband Lamar Boleman of Merritt Island, FL: her sister Helen Barnes of Austell, GA: eight grandchildren, and eleven great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 5:00pm - 8:00pm Tuesday, February 10, 2015 at White Columns Funeral Chapel in Mableton, GA, with funeral services 2:30pm Wednesday in the funeral home’s chapel with Rev. Talmadge Chandler presiding. Burial will follow at Mount Harmony Gardens in Mableton, GA.
