Man Sent to ER After Mableton Argument
A Decatur man faces a charge of aggravated assault with a weapon.
An argument between two men in Mableton turned violent Friday and sent one of the men to a local emergency room.
John Carlos Taveras of Decatur is accused of swinging a large, butcher-style knife at the man and leaving a deep, 4-inch laceration along the man's left cheek, according to an arrest warrant.
Taveras faces a charge of aggravated assault with a weapon. He was in custody when Cobb authorities issued the warrant for his arrest on Saturday, records show.
