Motorcyclist Dies After Crash on Hurt Road
No charges are expected in the head-on collision south of Marietta on March 4.

Atlanta motorcyclist Leonard Daggett has died from injuries he suffered in a head-on collision south of Marietta in South Cobb's Zone 2 last week.
The 30-year-old was riding a yellow 2000 Honda CVR929 east on Hurt Road around a curve at Old Tennessee Road about 3:30 p.m. Sunday, March 4, when he crossed the center line and slammed into a blue 2000 Honda CR-V, spokesman Sgt. Dana Pierce reported in a news release today.

Police do not know why Daggett crossed the double yellow line, but they believe that excessive speed played a role.
The driver of the car, 30-year-old William Hill of Hiram, was not hurt, but his passenger, 24-year-old Chandra Keyon of Marietta, was taken to nearby with injuries that were not life-threatening.

Investigators do not expect to file charges in the death, Pierce said. But police ask anyone with information about what happened to call 770-499-3987.
