Suspect in 2 Mableton Robberies Sought
The first robbery occurred about 8:15 a.m. May 13 at the Veterans Memorial Highway Family Dollar and the second robbery occurred about 8:45 a.m. May 22 at the Hicks Road Rite Aid.

Investigators with the Cobb County Police Department think a man seen on surveillance footage released today is involved in two robberies in Mableton, and they are asking the public to help them find him.
The first robbery occurred about 8:15 a.m. May 13 at the Veterans Memorial Highway Family Dollar and the second robbery occurred about 8:45 a.m. May 22 at the Hicks Road Rite Aid, said Sgt. Dana Pierce, the spokesman for the Cobb County Police Department.
In both cases, a masked gunman walked in, demanded cash from female employees and ran from the scene after getting an undisclosed amount of money, Pierce said.

The suspect in the Family Dollar robbery is described as a 5-foot-9, 150-pound black man in his 20s. He was last seen wearing a brown or dark yellow “Timberland” brand sweatshirt, black pants and a black hat. He also wore light colored latex gloves and a mask. The surveillance images released today are from the Family Dollar.
"Investigators believe the perpetrator is the same individual in the robbery of the Rite Aid," Pierce said.

He described the suspect in that robbery as a 5-foot-9 or 5-foot-10 black man in his late 20s or early 30s. He weighed between 175 and 180 pounds, and was last seen wearing a red shirt and black mask.
