Toddler Thrown From SUV In South Cobb Crash: Report

A 2-year-old child was thrown from an SUV after the vehicle collided with a patrol car, according to news reports.

AUSTELL, GA -- The Georgia State Highway Patrol is investigating a Cobb County crash in which a 2-year-old child was thrown from a vehicle, authorities said. The accident happened Monday afternoon at the corner of Riverside Parkway and Whisper Lane in Austell.

The collision occurred when a silver Nissan Pathfinder was turning on Whisper Lane. A Cobb County Transit bus obscured the view of the SUV's driver, the AJC reports, and the vehicle failed to yield and was hit by the cop car.
