Vinings Seeks Public Input In Design Plans

Vinings is soliciting help in brainstorming the city's vision for downtown at a meeting on Tuesday, April 18.

SOUTH COBB, GA -- The city of Vinings is inviting the public to help shape the city's vision for downtown at a meeting on Tuesday, April 18.

The meeting will run from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the Cochise Riverview Club, 3795 Cochise Drive SE, Atlanta.

Vinings, nestled around Atlanta and the burgeoning city limits of Smyrna and nearby Smyrna, finds itself at a crossroads as surrounding developments continue to draw huge interest -- and an increased potential tax base that would benefit the city.

Vinings will hold stakeholder meeting in May, with the final public input meeting in June. The city is working in conjunction with Cobb County on design guidelines, which have already been established for Atlanta Road, Canton Road, Dallas Highway and Macland Road.

Cobb staffers have also devised designs for Mableton Parkway, Veterans Memorial Highway in Mableton.
