Warrant: Man Attempted to 'Slash' Woman in Austell
He was arrested Monday on charges that include two counts of aggravated assault with a weapon and obstruction.

A Riverdale man allegedly assaulted a woman with a knife at an Austell residence and threw her cell phone across the room to prevent her from calling 911.
About 2:15 a.m. Monday, Perrance Dejunn Ward attempted to "slash" the woman with the knife at a residence in the 6800 block of Wade Road, according to an arrest warrant.
Ward's alleged actions left the woman with a small cut on her finger, a small puncture wound on her upper right arm and a 2½-inch long cut on her left forearm, police said.
Ward was arrested Monday on charges that include two counts of aggravated assault with a weapon and obstruction. He is in the Cobb County Adult Detention Center in lieu of $25,000 bond.
