Why We Support Shelia Edwards for Cobb County Commission
A woman that is grounded in her beliefs with untiring love for community, freedom, and equal opportunity.

Tomorrow you will be voting in one of the most important runoff elections in recent South Cobb County history, it is important because the winner of the Board of Commissioners District 4 race will be the future leadership, face, and visionary for our community. We are writing to you to ask that you vote for our Mother, Shelia Edwards.
We are not just supporting her because she is our mother and friend, we are asking for your vote because of her character, her commitment to service and her tenacity in taking on a challenge that she believes in. She will make a positive difference in your well-being and your quality of life. While observing social distancing, we have joined her in campaigning around the district to share her message of hope, deserved prosperity and better representation. We listened in on her community Zoom calls and forums with you as you shared your concerns and your hopes, as well as your disappointments with the current lack of leadership.
That is why we wanted to let you know about the Shelia Edward we Know and Love. Our Mom is a God-fearing woman of principles. She believes that one’s word is one’s bond. We have had the enduring pleasure of seeing a woman that is grounded in her beliefs with untiring love for community, freedom, and equal opportunity. It is that same principled foundation, love of people, and access to services that has made her such an exceptional community activist. She’s fought for our community against long odds when our neighborhood was at risk from a trash and solid waste expansion proposal. We make no apologies for our mother who represents the “values and the can-do attitude” that she embedded in us during our childhood and continues to exemplify to this day. We know that our Mom takes nothing for granted. She hopes that she has earned your support and your vote, along with a shared vision for District 4’s brighter future.
